I have created another draft video of my music video where I finished the video with appropriate clips. 

Magazine Advert Landscape #3

I have continued with making changes to my magazine advert as there is always room for improvement. I thought that there was too much white gaps in the background therefore I added the lyrics from the music video and lowered the opacity. I also thought that there needed more of a black tint to the advert, so I added a few more black rectangles.

Digipak

I continued to improve my digipak, I thought that it was pointless having the first double page spread as it was only referring to one song and not the whole album.

Digi Pack #1

I have created a draft copy of my digipak. I believe there are many improvements that can be made with these pages. I have stuck with the colour scheme pink throughout and the consistency of lines/crosses.

I have created another draft video of my music video where I finished the video with appropriate clips. I aim to colour correct and make more improvements after receiving more feedback.

I have continued working on my music video and I am in the process of completing the whole video. I have found creating this music video quite challenging as I have many clips and kept getting confused on which clips to use and if I had already used it or not. I should have the video completed in the next few days.

As I have finished all the shooting for my music video, I have began to put together my music video using Premier. As I have had a lot of practice using this software it wasn't too hard to put together the first minute of the video, what was more time consuming was going through each clip I had and deleting the clips that I wouldn't use.

I have completed my magazine advert, I have changed the colour scheme as my feedback was that my original magazine advert looked too R&B and not a Pop genre. I aim to get more feedback from my target audience in order to improve my magazine advert even more.

Magazine Advert Landscape #1

I have created another layout for my magazine advert by producing a landscape version. I have included everything which the portrait version contains apart from the iTunes logo. Again I will be collecting feedback for this version to see if there are any improvements needed.

I have finished my magazine advert, however I will be getting feedback on it to see if there are any improvements which needed to be made to make the magazine advert as professional looking as possible in order to meet all the conventions a pop magazine advert requires. I designed this using Photoshop, I removed the background to the main image and then added a glow to make it look more effective. 

Magazine Advert Planning

 In todays lesson I continued with my magazine advert planning, I moved around with the layout and came up with ideas for what my main image will look like. For the portrait layout, it will be of a midshot/long shot of my model facing forward but with her head looking to the side. I have included my artist name on the avert as this will help to identify the artist to the audience.

 

 

I created an alternate layout for my magazine advert and included the same information for both adverts as this will be clear to the audience if they were to see the different layouts and notice the same artist. Also by creating this alternate layout, the advert will be able to be put on the side of busses as they are usually landscape. However, as this layout will be landscape the main image will be the same as the portrait, although instead of the image being of a mid shot/ long shot it will be a close up.

Magazine Advert Planning

This is a brief outline of how I will be having my magazine advert. I have decided to have as less writing as possible on the advert in order for the main picture to stand out as much as possible. The only writing which is going to be quite big will be the name of the album and the 'OUT NOW', this is because these are the only pieces of information which are important for the audience. 

The main image of my artist will take over the whole page, I have two image ideas. One being of a close up of the artists face with lots of make up in order to make the main image stand out to the audience so they can identify the artist straight away. The other idea is of my artist lying down of a long shot, is means that I can have the information to the side of the artist on the background and not on the actual artist. 

As many people now a days don't buy CDs I have decided to include the 'Download on iTunes', this will incourage many people to buy the CD also they will be able to listen to previews of each song compared to when buying the actual CD in store. 

By including the 5 star reviews also encourages the audience to buy the CD as they will believe that it is in fact a good album to buy and worth the money. 

I will need to include the artists name as she isn't well known to the audience, therefore I will include her name just before mentioning the album name. This will make it clear to the audience who's CD is being advertised in the magazine.

By drawing out a storyboard will benefit me in the long term as I will be more organised when it comes to filming my music video and this way no time will be wasted as both I and the performers will have a copy of the storyboard so they know exactly what to do.
